- Eritrean Women at War Exhibition, 1st - 31st March: Eritrea was an Italian colony from 1890 to 1940. After the defeat of Mussolini in world War II, Eritrea came under Britishs administration until 1952 then under the auspies of the UN, the UK, and USA Eritrea was federated with Ethiopia against the will of the Eritrean people. The Eritrean armed struggle for independence commenced in 1961 and sucessfully concluded in 1991. Women actively participated in the fight, achieving gender equality on the battlefield. More than 30% of the freedom fighters were women. Their significant contribution played a crucial role in the ultimatw success of the struggle for Eritrean independence.

Relax and enjoy their performance to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Jubilee Library.
- A display celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Jubilee Library, 24th Feb - 9th March: Jubilee Library opened on 3rd March 2005 Word Book Day. The library has been an outstanding success, winning no fewer than 15 awards for: architecture, urban regeneration, public building and library design. In 2023-2024, there were more than 830,000 visits to the library. Find out more by browsing the display in the library foyer.
