Simple maps for short walks around local parks, woods, nature reserves and public footpaths.
If you like a walk but want to know in advance that it will be a distance you can manage in a time that suits you, check our new website with over 100 maps for one, two and three mile nature walks.
This was a project developed during Covid to help people get into walking, people who weren't already strong or experienced walkers, people who wanted to get outside, get active and connect with nature, but wanted the confidence to explore a walk that they knew wouldn't accidentally be too long.
The maps are home-printer friendly - they need very little ink, they're fine in B&W and they only need one sheet of paper. You can also follow on your phone if you install the free Map My Walk app and follow the instructions on our "How to" page.
Every walk has been checked and measured and there are notes about difficulty and types of surface. Every walk has got some reasonable parking and there are postcodes on the map.
And there are loads of photos to give you an idea of what to expect, or just to inspire you to go and have an explore yourself!
