The Health and Wellbeing Hub at The Firs has been created to provide a welcoming space to benefit the local community.
The aim of the hub is to offer on-site educational facilities that can be used by individuals, organisations, clubs and students all year round to support healthy choices.
Our dedicated Forest School area is regularly used for adult learning courses and children’s activities, with the wider site used for holiday and after-school clubs, events and training.
The site also offers a number of free-to-use facilities for members of the public to enjoy, including an outdoor gym, trim trail and table tennis table.
Our MUGA (multi-games area) features an enclosed court and pitch, which benefits from flood lighting for use at night and which is available to hire.
Additional facilities include a range of indoor spaces including an Enterprise Hub, a Welfare Unit, a suite of Equipment Libraries and a Training Kitchen, with waterless eco-toilets an off-grid solution.
