Description
Kingdom Way Trust is a Christian charitable organisation based in Eastbourne. We work with people to help them address barriers they face to a more stable lifestyle, and help them discover skills, attitudes and values that enable them to develop hope for a better future. Our aim is to see people able to sustain stable, healthy and interdependent lifestyles with a sense of purpose and wellbeing, having also had an opportunity to consider issues of the Christian faith. We currently have 5 projects that provide accommodation and support for those we work with:
Emergency Housing
We have 10 furnished rooms in two shared houses. Guests will have their own but will share other facilities in the house. Rooms will be offered for a period of up to 3 months to both male and female, over 18s only.
Guests will be expected to work with a dedicated support worker during the daytime, with the aim of finding appropriate, longer-term housing. Support will also be provided by staff and volunteers to help with other issues.
Our aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment in a place where everyone will be treated with care and respect. No alcohol or drugs are allowed on the premises. Anti-social behaviour or any type of abuse towards other guests, volunteers or staff will not be tolerated.

The Bridge
Provides accommodation for 6 men who are committed to change and have the aim of living interdependent lives making a positive contribution to society. A team of staff provide support for residents in whatever aspect of their lives that they desire to address and progress. A stay in The Bridge is typically 6-18 months. Hope into Action
In conjunction with the national charity Hope into Action, Kingdom Way Trust offers a home to a number of tenants who live in a shared house (normally 2 or 3 people). Support with maintaining the tenancy and establishing positive routines is provided by a member of staff and a team of volunteers from a local church offer friendship support.
Hope Woodwork
An opportunity for anyone over 18 who wants to learn a new skill or get into the routine of work. For many it's about overcoming barriers or gaining confidence that will enhance the possibility of entering employment. At the fully equipped workshop, training modules are offered in a safe and supportive environment. Whatever the level of experience, anyone has the chance to progress under the supervision of staff and volunteers (volunteers with or without carpentry skills who have a desire to work alongside trainees seeking to progress in life are always welcome!)
