Staying Well Space is an out-of-hours mental health crisis prevention service, provided at Southdown’s Eastbourne Wellbeing Centre.
The service supports people aged 16 or over who feel they aren’t able to cope or are headed towards a crisis point.
Open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, the service provides psychosocial support and crisis prevention planning. We support people to build a crisis plan and increase resilience and coping skills to support their own recovery.
Staying Well is provided by Southdown, in partnership with the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
If you need urgent mental health support, outside of normal working hours, Staying Well is here for you, providing help and advice in a relaxed, friendly and safe environment. We primarily offer face-to-face support but if you are unable to physically attend the building we can provide phone or video call support as an alternative.
Our team of Recovery Advisors are on-hand to provide non-judgmental support tailored to your needs; whether that’s simply listening or providing more in-depth support.
The service is free and available to adults people aged 16 or over with urgent mental health support needs living across East Sussex.
How do I access support?
Please note, the Eastbourne service is not a walk-in service and requires a referral first.
You can contact the service directly to self-refer for support if you feel you aren’t able to cope or feel you are headed towards a crisis point. To make an online referral for yourself or on behalf of an individual, please click here.
