High Weald, Lewes & Havens Bladder and Bowel Service

We are a service of specialist continence nurses who offer individuals with bladder and bowel problems assessment, treatment, advice and support.

We see individuals in clinics which are run at different venues on a regular basis across Brighton and Hove and West Sussex. Individuals with complex needs may be seen at home by a specialist nurse if they are unable to come into clinic.

An indwelling urinary catheter management, advice and support service is available for some identified individuals in Brighton and Hove (otherwise individuals are managed by the Integrated Primary Care Teams).

The service provides advice and education to other healthcare professionals, carers, families and the general public. We can also provide formal education.

We help with the following problems plus many more:

• Constipation
• Erectile Dysfunction
• Faecal incontinence
• Urinary incontinence
• Needing to go to the toilet frequently
• Intermittent catheterisation
