MoveAbility, Newhaven

A new project called MoveAbility has specifically launched in Newhaven, East Sussex to help residents with disabilities travel more actively for the next three years. The Motability Foundation, a charity known for funding initiatives to improve disabled people's journeys, is funding MoveAbility. Sussex Community Development Association (SCDA) and Sustrans will collaborate to deliver a program of free walking and cycling events specifically designed for people with visible and hidden disabilities who want to be more active for their health and independence.

The Moveability team will design these activities and they will be open to anyone in the greater Newhaven area who identifies as disabled and wants to increase their physical activity levels. Bicycles and any other required equipment will be provided to participants free of charge, as long as supplies last.
