Carers O Clock has provided support for adult carers across East Sussex, commissioned through the East Sussex County Council Carers' Hub.
There is evidence of growing need for support for carers;
99% of carers feel stressed.
96% feel that their wellbeing has been affected as a result of the caring role
94% are feeling alone or isolated (2% increase and higher than at the time of the pandemic).
92% of carers are reporting impact on their physical health.
83% of carers are affected financially.
42% of carers want to, but can’t access respite.

Carers O'Clock sessions take place every month at two venues in East Sussex (in Eastbourne and Uckfield) led by a team of artists. The sessions provide opportunities for carers to meet and engage in creative activities together in a safe and supportive environment. Carers also benefit from a freshly cooked lunch and refreshments.
