Emergency Duty Service (East Sussex Children's Services) (EDS)

Works outside of normal office hours. Including nights, weekends and public holidays to respond to emergency situations that cannot wait until other Teams are able to respond during normal hours.

Adult social care – Emergency Duty Service.  If an adult urgently needs help between 8pm and 8am, please call 0345 608 0191 and select menu option 2 to connect to our Out of Hours Emergency Service.

Children’s EDS will will respond to Child Protection and urgent Child in Need assessments in East Sussex and Brighton and Hove, please call 01273 335905/6.

Emergencies arising in Brighton and Hove which concern adult social care and mental health, callers should be referred to 01273 295555.
