Health Visiting and the Early Help Service 0 to 19 can support you and your family from pregnancy until your child is five.
The teams are made up of health professionals and offer a range of support, either one-to-one or in groups.
The Health Visiting Service is currently experiencing high levels of staff shortages across East Sussex.
As a result, we have taken the difficult decision that the Health Visiting team will not be offering an antenatal contact. This means that all of your antenatal care will be provided by the Midwifery Service only and our Health Visiting Service will commence at the new birth visit, which will take place between 10 and 14 days after the birth of your baby.
Although we are unable to offer this contact, within the wider service, first time parents are able to access free Bump and Beyond antenatal education classes which will support you and your birth partner to feel more prepared and confident for your journey through pregnancy, birth and caring for your baby.
