Stephen Pett has been a full-time Professional Will Writer since 2001 and was involved in the original Consultation which created the over-complicated Lasting Powers of Attorney. He suggested a much more straightforward combined document and has been proved correct by the lower take-up of the crucial Health and Welfare LPA.

He has been a senior member of the Society of Will Writers and Estate Planning Practitioners for many years and has written hundreds of articles as well as a book on Inheritance Tax.  At the 2024 Conference, he was awarded the Society's highest honour, that of Companion.
