Description
Age is a Stage is dedicated to making a positive difference to older people in Brighton.
We hold fun-filled weekly classes and workshops for those aged 50 or over. All are welcome, regardless of experience.
Workshops explore the art of play, creativity and dramatic arts at Theatre Royal in Brighton - your chance to step onto the historic stage! No experience is necessary.
Workshops are led by Chris Cresswell, who has worked in theatre, performance and teaching for over 20 years. They provide a safe space where you can enjoy some precious time outside of the norm and experience the joy of having fun and letting go.
Age is a Stage forges new connections and provides a creative outlet, bringing theatre back into people’s lives.
To ensure theatre skills are accessible for all, Age is a Stage run Laughter for Life, a series of free workshops in East Brighton for people over 50 at The Edge Community Centre, Pankhurst Avenue.
