Common Cause, Lewes

Common Cause is a social enterprise, not-for-profit company. We run the Lewes Farmers Market and horticulture and well-being projects in East Sussex.

Common Cause aims are social, economic and environmentally sustainable community development, supporting local food production and connections between producers and consumers, agricultural development that is sensitive to the landscape and its biodiversity and social enterprises and initiatives.

Our Current Projects

We do this through the Lewes Farmers Market Lewes Community Allotment, The Mosaic and Lewes House Garden Project, Ringmer Community Orchard and Seedy Saturday Lewes. We also support the Land Workers’ Alliance campaign for Good Food, Good Farming.
