Culture Shift is an East Sussex based charity working across both East and West Sussex as well as the Brighton & Hove area and Surrey.
We are driven by a dual focus on arts and wellbeing, using arts activity to support every sort of person to express themselves, learn and contribute positively to their communities and find ways to be their best selves.
We strongly believe that connecting with others through creative activity enables people and communities to develop a stronger sense of identity, pride and resilience.
This approach is more important than ever in the current context of well documented levels of poverty, declining mental health and ongoing recovery from the impacts of the pandemic.
Our expertise lie in;
project delivery (both online, in person and in partnership)
facilitation (for planning, consultation or group activity)
co-design
training incl. disability awareness training, evaluation and co-design training
research and evaluation
We strive to create opportunities for people to meaningfully connect and thrive, in particular for those who often experience barriers to access or struggle with social inclusion.One of our main strengths is our ability to connect different people, different groups and organisations and make out-of-the-ordinary things happen.
Our portfolio of programmes reaches a broad range of beneficiaries including;

community organisations
learning disabled adults
carers of all ages
older people living with dementia
children and young people, from early years onward, inside and outside the context of school and college
