Description
A Society for those in and around the Hastings area with an interest in nature and natural history.
This society, formed in 1893, was originally known as The Hastings and St Leonards Natural History Society. It has been active without a break ever since.
We have six evening meetings a year for illustrated talks on a wide range of natural history topics. A walking group meets on Thursdays for a country walk of about four to six miles followed by lunch. The walks are located within the Hastings, High Weald, South Downs or Kent Marshes areas. Amongst other activities, we enjoy an annual walker’s coach holiday, a summer lunch and a Christmas dinner.
