Hastings & St Leonards Cycling Club Archive

The Hastings and St.Leonards Cycing Club was formed in 1876 and is one of the oldest cycling clubs in continuous existence (only the Pickwick Bicycle Club formed in 1870 is older) in the UK.

In 1962 Jack Southerden published his book about the first 80 years of the club, from 1876 to 1956. A digital copy of Jack's book can be found here.  The archive also has a draft of Jack's history for the 20 years to the club's centenary. This website is a window into the club's history and will, hopefully, become an enduring record.
