Lewes Passion Play

Our main purpose is to enable the performance of the Lewes Passion play on a 5 yearly basis. The next major production is now intended to be Easter week 2025, with smaller events at Easter in each of the intervening years.

We are a community of volunteers aiming to enjoy working together to develop expertise, raise funds and share in telling the story of Easter in the streets of Lewes.

We hold a variety of activities: social gatherings, performance workshops, props making, set building, music and singing. Ideas are welcomed, explored and brought to life.

The planning team meet regularly to ensure events are brought to fruition.

Everyone is welcome to join us, to offer ideas, support and organisational skills, and become involved in whatever capacity suits them best; it is not just about performance.
