Sussex Opera and Ballet Society (SOBS)

Members of Sussex Opera and Ballet Society share an interest in Opera, Musical Theatre and Ballet by attending a variety of events during the year.

Lunches and talks are held on a Sunday at the Hydro Hotel Eastbourne, recitals in local churches and the Birley Center and films at the Towner Cinema.

Among events last year were a lunch and talk by Robin Cousins, MBE a visit to the Royal Ballet School, a showing of the film of Der Rosenkavalier and a tour of Glyndebourne Opera House.  SOBS is an educational charity providing bursaries each year to young performers.
