International & Sustainability Team, Brighton and Hove City Council

The Sustainability Team is supporting the council's carbon neutral work with its partners to get to zero carbon emissions by 2030.  The city's Climate Assembly in 2020 and the Youth Climate Assembly, set up by young people in the city aged 13-19, was supported by council officers.  The Living Coast is Brighton and Lewes Downs UNESCO World Biosphere region.  It is the only designated urban biosphere in the UK, supporting many eco projects in the Biosphere area, and the council is a lead partner.
