Description
Langney Community Library is run entirely by unpaid volunteer staff who aim to provide our members and other customers with a friendly and helpful experience. Membership is free and it takes just a few minutes to process your completed registration card. Once processed, you’ll get your own unique membership card which you can then use to borrow up to three books for up to three weeks. Non-overdue books can be renewed, up to twice, by email, phone or text/WhatsApp message. We don’t charge for overdue books but would suggest a donation to help pay for our general running costs.
Despite our limited space, we have a great range of books, including large print versions, and audio books, for adults, children and young people. These include fiction, biographies, information and reference books. We’re happy to help you find what you’re looking for.
Members have the use of four laptops (some restrictions apply) and we always try to have a computer buddy on hand to help those who need it.
Printing, photocopying and laminating services are available (charges apply); even if you’re not a member, you can send us an email with the item you want printed attached.
Opening hours are:
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: from 10am to 4pm
- Saturdays: from 10am to 1pm
