Ringmer Good Neighbours is a scheme that was launched in summer 2016 to provide a support network for Ringmer residents to try to make life easier. The aim is to provide a 'safety net' and friendship. The scheme runs entirely by helpful volunteers and relies solely on donations.
We aim to provide:
-Befriending local people in the village
-Running small errands such as shopping and posting letters
-Lifts to hospital/doctor appointments
If you think you would benefit from any of the services, please contact us.
Although we are not an Emergency Service or Care provider, we do provide friendship and help with transport (if arranged with sufficient advanced notice). For lifts, we request a small donation to cover our volunteer's costs, but all other support is free.
All of our volunteers have been police checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
We are always looking for more volunteers. If you are interested in this, please contact us.
