The SEND Early Years’ Service (SEYS) supports pre-school aged children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This may include complex needs, including pre-school aged children who have English as an Additional Language where those needs create a barrier to learning and inclusion.
SEYS provide the following as part of their intervention with a child:
Bespoke training for providers (including: Makaton, Down Syndrome, Using Visuals and Developing a Visual Environment, Behaviour and Therapeutic Thinking, Attention Development, Autism, EAL, Early Interaction, and Sensory Circuits for pre-school settings)
Assessment and individual planning for a child’s learning
Collaborative working with providers, health, parents and carers
Transition support and guidance for children with SEND when entering pre-school or school
